Print Collection

The Harris County Robert W. Hainsworth Law Library has more than 30,000 volumes of printed materials focusing on Texas and Federal Law. Major collections include Texas and Federal cases, statutes, and regulations, State Bar of Texas CLE materials, and topical treatises and practice guides. Click the button to the right to search our catalog or visit the Law Library for assistance with finding a specific title.

Please note: To ensure information is available to all patrons every day, law books cannot be checked out of the Harris County Robert W. Hainsworth Law Library. Patrons who would like to conduct research should visit the Law Library, where they will find ample reading room.


Electronic Resources

Online research is essential in today's legal environment. The Harris County Robert W. Hainsworth Law Library provides 25 public access computers that patrons can use for legal research. Each computer is equipped with Microsoft Word and Excel to assist with drafting and editing documents. Additionally, patrons have access to these professional legal research tools on all computers:

  • Westlaw Patron Access

Access to Law Library computers and electronic databases is free. Patrons who wish to print may select the print option to send documents to the Law Library’s Copy Center located inside the Law Library.
