Program description: An overview of basic editing procedures followed by more in depth processes using Styles to provide an efficient and accurate generation of Table of Contents for legal documents. The emphasis will be on using Microsoft Word to automate as much of the table generation process as possible. Relevant examples from office work product will be used to match the desired outcome more closely in both content and format. Attendees will learn to apply and modify built-in Heading Styles, use the Style Inspector to modify font, paragraph spacing, and outline numbering directly within the style framework, and map custom styles to the Table of Contents (TOC) framework if non-standard styles are preferred.
