Legal Tech Institute: Drafting and Editing for Attorneys
Speaker: Rodney Hall, Associate Law Librarian, Harris County Robert W. Hainsworth Law Library
Program Description: The speaker will cover aspects of drafting and editing documents in Microsoft Word to meet the basic needs of attorneys. More complex items such as creating a Table of Contents, a Table of Authorities, and hyperlinks are included. As well as, formatting the document for successful e-filing. Several minutes at the end of the class will be devoted to practical application of the skills covered. This presentation is being offered in a hybrid format (attendance is available both in-person and virtual). However, the most benefit will be received by in-person attendance. Legal Tech Institute: Fundamentals of Legal Tech

Program Description: Speaker will cover basic legal tech topics for practicing Texas attorneys and will explore in general why and how awareness of legal tech is an essential part of improving one’s practice. Presenter will focus on a wide range of practice management solutions for document formatting, data analysis, legal research, collaboration, cybersecurity, and more, along with tools for automating routine tasks and streamlining overall workflow.
