The latest addition to the Harris County Robert W. Hainsworth Law Library is STAN (Synchronous Touchless Assistive Node), a virtual presence device that is stationed in the Law Library Lobby. A librarian operates STAN from inside the library, where they greet and direct patrons of the Law Library.

Beginning on Monday, February 15, the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs is launching a new rental assistance program, the Texas Coronavirus Relief Bill Rental Assistance Program. The web portal and accompanying telephone line will begin accepting applications at 8 a.m. Central Time. The program will serve both landlords and tenants and can assist with past and future rent payments.
